Tuesday June 18th @ 6:30pm 2012 boys and 2010 boys
Player evaluations will be held at FMRP. Players will perform a number of drills, small sided games and full sided games. Players will be evaluated and placed on a team with like minded and like ability players. Our goal is always to create the most competitive teams possible. Some teams may be of mixed age groups, depending on the number of players.
The evaluations will determine team placement for the Fall AND Spring seasons. We are looking for players to commit to both seasons. Participation in the winter season is optional but will allow players an opportunity to play year round.
Why is this being held in the summer?
A June event gives our staff more time to create teams and plan the fall season. This will also give families more time to purchase the new uniform kit before our first games of the fall. August is the official registration period for ALL youth soccer players across the country, so it makes sense to hold tryouts in the summer and register at this time.
Why are younger players being evaluated?
For players ages 2015 and 2016 this event is an opportunity to identify players and place them on a team with similar ability players. This is the next progression from recreational soccer and a real opportunity for players to grow as individuals while being part of a team.
Sign-ups close on Friday June 14th.
ALL players must sign up and attend tryouts to be placed on a team, but there is no cost to be evaluated and no need to register for the season at this time.
