Missoula Surf Premier Teams

Ages

U9-U10 travel teams – 7vs7 – Travel is kept close to Missoula, teams look to play locally as much as possible. Players are encouraged to challenge themselves in our National Surf program, Surf Select.

U11-U12 travel teams – 9vs9 – Travel will based on each teams readiness in their developmental pathway. Typically U12 we are looking to expand to more Regional events. Player are encouraged to challenge themselves in our National Surf program, Surf Select.

U13-U15 travel teams – 11vs11 – Teams will look to compete at the highest level possible for their group. Players will be challenged to increase their playing experiences through our national program, Surf Select, and through guest playing opportunities with our network of Surf clubs.

U16-U19 travel teams – 11vs11 – College prospects – Surf Nation offers an amazing network for recruitment of women and men. Travel teams will be looking to combine off-field work (making highlight reels, communication with schools or professional clubs, research in to colleges or areas of the country where they want to play) with attending events with the highest competition possible in order to increase each individual player’s, and the team’s, ability to be evaluated by top level coaches. Players will be encouraged to build their playing resumes through guest playing with higher level Surf teams (EA, GA, ECNL, ECNRL, NPL, JPL) and through Surf Nation’s national program – Surf Select

Spring Season

Missoula Surf Soccer Club’s Spring Season begins in November, we train indoors at the U of M indoor training facility, the Dome. This gives us an unprecedented opportunity in Montana to develop players year round! It also opens the door to us being competitive in events during the Winter months, where previously we would train in basketball gyms to prepare for these events.

The Spring season will typically end for our U9-U10 teams in the beginning of June. For our U11-U12 teams, they may choose to compete through July in highly competitive events such as Surf Cup NW in Redmond WA. Our U13-U19 teams will be encouraged to play in through July in these highly competitive events.

Fall Season

Typically we will have fall tryouts in August, the fall season is for 8th graders and younger. The Fall season is a shorter season, we attend 2-4 tournaments in this season. Training will be outside at Fort Missoula Regional park. Our Fall season typically ends in November.

JPL [Junior Premier League]

Missoula Surf Soccer is committed to increasing the competitive environments that our players are exposed to. Players will only develop to the level they can experience, we are dedicating to raising the ceiling of experience for Montana kids!

We are collaborating with other clubs in the region to create highly competitive teams to play in the JPL and this is a  National Premier League qualifier. Winners are given a place in a Local NPL league.

There are two weekends of play for U12’s – October in Denver CO and November in Mesa AZ at the amazing Arizona Athletic Grounds! For U13 and older there are two weekends – November and March in Mesa AZ at the Arizona Athletic Grounds.
