This year, Missoula Surf is elevating the development of every keeper in our club with a Surf-players-only Winter Goalkeeper Academy [Nov–Mar]. Designed exclusively for our athletes, this program delivers focused, high-level goalkeeper training that will directly strengthen the performance and growth of our Surf teams across all age groups.

Meet the Coach: J Landham

Our Academy is led by Coach J Landham, Associate Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for the University of Montana Women’s Soccer Program.

Coach Landham brings:

  • NCAA Division I coaching experience

  • Professional-level goalkeeper insight

  • A proven track record developing elite keepers

  • A teaching style that builds confidence, technique, and game IQ

With his guidance, our Surf goalkeepers gain access to the same high standards and growth-minded training environment used to develop top collegiate athletes.

What Missoula Surf Keepers Will Learn

Throughout the winter, goalkeepers will sharpen every core area of their position, including:

  • Shot-stopping mechanics & body positioning

  • 1v1 decisions & pressure management

  • Footwork, distribution & building from the back

  • Handling crosses, aerial control & set-piece command

  • Game-realistic reps with individualized coaching

These sessions are designed to accelerate development and ensure Surf keepers are more confident, more capable, and more game-ready than ever heading into the spring season.
